This little girl is the best! She makes me laugh every day! Yesterday she ran up to me very concerned and said, "Mommy, mommy, Carlie spill the water! Man! Freakin!" ........What??! Where did she learn to say freakin? Hahaha, she is so funny and I am so blessed to have her in my life. My days would be so boring without her! I love you sweet girl.

Our little getaway

We were so lucky as to get away for a few days a few weeks ago. My brother and sister in law watched our girls for us and we stayed down in San Diego. We went to La Jolla cove and snorkeled. We saw a ton of of brightly colored fish and were right next to a bunch of seal. Greg almost got attacked by a very protective mother seal. And then we ended the trip with skydiving. It was sooo fun! I loved it! It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be. I just loved "flying" in the air and the view was amazing, I would do it again tomorrow if it didn't cost 200$. Maybe someday when I'm rich! :)

I got on the scale this morning simply because I was curious, and I have reached my goal....115. Now there is no promising that I will stay there for very long, I didn't do it the way I wanted to which is why im not really jumping for joy. I have had tonsillitis for almost a week. This leaves my tonsils so swollen and in pain that it is extremely hard to swallow. I have had barely any food, mostly just liquids. Im so tired of being sick! This has really hit me though. This week long sickness has taught me something I think..... I NEED to eat healthy always. As easy as it is to just grab some chips or chocolate chip granola bars to snack on I need to be replacing that with fresh fruit and veggies. I need to stock up on the healthy stuff and not even buy the yummy junk. It is so yummy. I wish junk wasn't so yummy. Another one of those things to help us grow I think. Who can be strong and do what they know is good for them? Well I won't promise anything, but im sure going to try! I have had it with being sick and I really don't want to get THIS sick again. So heres the goal to start off with....... sugar once a week, fruit and veggies EVERY DAY. I can do it. I can do it.

Sydnie has a hard time looking at the camera and smiling so it was a miracle we got a good one of her. I don't realize how stressful pictures can be until I'm in front of the camera instead of behind it.

125!

Here I am at 125. I still have 10 more lbs to go but im not in a huge hurry. I feel like once I stop nursing I will be able to loose the weight easier and faster. For now im just working my butt off. (literally) If I reach my goal before then, great. I woke up this morning BEFORE the crack of dawn and went to the spin class at 5:30am. If you want to sweat like no other I highly recommend this class. I am not an early morning person but I have a lot of motivation so it wasnt too hard for me to get out of bed this morning. Anyway, im almost there, so excited!

I seriously cannot believe I was this big! I mean I just had a baby 3 weeks prior but still, nothing like pictures to let you know what you really look like! haha

This is the number that made me jump for joy this morning. For a whole MONTH I was stuck on 130 I couldn't get past this huge wall. It was so frustrating and towards the end got a little depressing. I was told that when you hit a wall you should change it up, so I did. I tried so many new things and kicked up my cardio to the max and for weeks this did nothing. I was at a loss, I had no idea what to do. Well this morning I woke up and got on that scale, and as the numbers jumbled disappointment was ready to set in, when all the sudden it stop at 128.4! I was so excited! Now I know this is only 2 lbs. Whats 2 meesely pounds? Well this just means that I am no longer stuck, that I can keep going on the path to the body I want. So to date I have lost 16 lbs and only have 14 to go. I am going to shoot for 10 until im done nursing. I can't cut my calorie intake down too far just yet. The most important thing about all of this is how I feel. I feel soooo much better. I am more energized and I have a little more confidence about myself. Having babies really does a number on your confidence. Well I shouldn't say having babies, but just your body after having babies. I am so grateful and wouldn't change a single thing about my life especially my babies! I just love them and am willing to go through this 4 more times so I can enjoy the blessing of having babies and raising them. Greg only wants 4 kids so I guess we will see how many more times I will really do this again. Anyway I wanted to share my exciting news with everyone!

Whats happenin lately

Here are a few things we have been up to. I feel like I haven't really taken very many pictures lately, probably because its been cold and we are boring. Also I realized I have hardly any pictures of myself for the past year, probably because I dont really like the way I look in pictures haha. Anyway Carlie is a rolling machine, she is starting to scoot and learn to sit up. She is a happy baby and laughs often.

We went to Vegas, Greg had to go for work so we went along with him and Sydnie saw the lions at the MGM Grand Hotel.
we tried to go swimming, the water was freezing but Sydnie still loved it. Greg lasted about 5 min. and then we all went in the spa.
Two days before Vegas we went to a Jazz/Clippers game, it was family night so we got a good deal on tickets. It was a lot of fun, I enjoy going to sporting events a lot more than watching them on TV, something about the atmosphere makes me have fun. The Clippers won and the only reason we were routing for them was because our friends are Jazz fans and we went with them haha.

Stuck

Well I have been stuck on 130-131 for about 2 1/2 weeks now and its so frustrating! Every day I get on that scale and the numbers start fluctuating I repeat 129 in my head over and over and every day I am let down. I feel like I'm stuck and I don't know what to do! I'm really unsure of portion size because I am nursing and I know I need those calories to produce milk. If anyone can give me and idea of what the line is so to speak. What can I do to help me loose weight but still be able to give my baby the nutrition that is best for her. Anyway I just have to kick my butt a little harder I guess. Hopefully in a couple weeks I will have a great number to report!

Here it is, my fat picture for all to see. I wasn't going to post this but I am just so proud of the progress I have made so far. I am still not where I want to be but seeing this just motivates me even more. I have lost 10 lbs since I started working out about 2 months ago. If I continue to loose 10 lbs every two months I will be where I want to be by May. It seems far away but this way im not putting too much pressure on myself to hurry and loose the weight. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband who stays with my babies for two hours each day while I go to the gym. I just love him.

Sydnie Jean at 18 mons

Sydnie is 18 months old. I seriously cannot believe it! I was filling out my new calender and it just blows my mind that she will turn 2 this year. I wanted to upload a video but they take FOREVER so I will just record what she is doing in words. She says cheese for me when I take a picture, most of the time. She counts to 10 all by her self. She says the abc's up to K. If you say "you" she will finish it with "are so cute!" Love it!

Sometimes she falls asleep in funny places, the other day it was her high chair because I was making her finish her sandwich.
she climbs on anything and everything.

And of course she makes PLENTY of messes. I think once you have kids your house will never stay clean for more than 2 mins at a time
And she is so loving and gives us kisses and hugs all the time, including her favorite baby sister. She loves babies and often plays mother with her doll. I caught her trying to suck the boogers out of her dolls nose with a "nose sucker" not sure what the correct name for it is haha.

Well it has been a month and I'm 5 lbs lighter. Only 25 to go. I feel like this is hardly anything but I know that I am gaining muscle while burning fat. I feel so much better already and thats really what matters. I would show you the before picture of me but its a bit embarrassing so maybe when I take an after picture, once I'm smokin haha, I will put them both up. Anyway slowly but surely I'm getting there.

Working out

Yes I have started. So I have been known, in the past, to run and work out and quit after a short while due to "its too cold outside to run" or "im just too tired". Well people not this time, i made a commitment. Not just a commitment to myself but one to the Gym. I paid for 2 years at 24 hr. fitness, which will force me to use it. I also have this wonderful friend who was a personal trainer for a while that comes with me and kicks my butt. Yesterday was day two and I think if I let you all in on this it will also help me keep going to reach my goal. The following will go against what woman are known to do, which is not tell anyone your weight or lie about it. My starting weight is 144lbs, I really want to get down to 115lbs, this is my high school weight. I am 5'3 so I think its what I should be. This will not happen quickly or easily as I am already feeling throughout my whole body right now. I just hope by summer time I will be oozing with confidence in a bathing suit.

Pumpkins and halloween

We went to the pumpkin patch, went through the corn maze and picked out a couple pumkins, then went home and carved them with some friends. We had fun and Sydnie wanted to take home all the pumpkins.

Carlie Siara

So I finally found the cord to my camera so I could put these up. Carlie was born 10/8/09 at 10:19pm. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have her out of me! But I am even more happy to have her in my arms. She is such a huge blessing in my life, I love her so much. I couldn't imagine loving another child as much as Sydnie but it just happens. I am overwhelmed with joy. I am so grateful to have another healthy happy baby, and for her to come to me so easily. We are adjusting very well and I hope to have a photoshoot to show you shortly.

Well Friday will be 3 weeks until my due date and with Sydnie coming 3 weeks early I feel very done! I can't fit into my clothes anymore. Gregs shirts and basketball shorts are mostly what I wear. I can't sleep because my hips are killing me from only sleeping on my sides. It is a battle just to get off the couch, through crowds of people and even putting lotion on my legs, which I hardly shave anymore either. I just want to be skinny and comfortable. I had a doc. app today which I drove 25 mins to and when I got there they said they didn't have a provider working today, they claim they called me but they only have my cell phone on file and I had no calls from them. Lame. I was hoping to get some kind of peace of mind. You see I had no Idea I was dialated to a 5 with Sydnie until I went to my doc app. so I wanted them to check me, I hate not knowing if I am in labor or not. Well they set me up for friday at 4:30, hopefully I will get some good news. Im sure I will forget all about this process and do it all over again in 2 years!
I do want a big family. Im just venting haha.

We FINALLY officially got our new house. We are so excited and will be moving in next week sometime. Greg wants to fix a few things before we do. We found renters that seem like they will work out wonderfully. The lord has blessed us plenty. Now lets just hope the baby can wait until we are all settled in the new house before she graces us with her presence.

Moving?

Well we are very possibly moving to Hesperia. We are in escrow with a house on El Cerrito, so hopefully everything goes smoothly and we will be in the home next month sometime. Escrow is supposed to close Aug. 31st, however these things never happen on time so we will see. We are thrilled to be off of a dirt road and part of society again, but will miss our friends in our little ward. By the way we want to rent our home that we live in now so if anyone knows someone who is looking for a house to rent let me know! Greg remodeled the whole house so pretty much everything is new and nice. It is a 3 bed 2 bath. Our new home will put us in the Arrowhead ward, which we are excited about as this is the ward we were in when we first got married. So fun!

Ok so this is how i'm feeling right now. I am really not the kind of girl who loves to be pregnant. I am only 27 weeks and I am ready to have this little girl in my arms rather than my belly. Why is it that when I am pregnant I become the most motivated mentally to get into shape? Probably because I look like a balloon. And I feel so lazy, due to the fact that I am tired far too often and I can't move around very quickly. This is the price we pay to have these miracles in our lives. I feel like it is such a small price, but here I am voicing my complaints. haha

Well just 13 weeks to go, if im lucky it will be only 10 again. Next time I think I will try a little harder to wait a little longer.

But if I have another one just like this who could ask for more!

A Whole Year! WHAT?!?!

One year ago today I was checking into Saint Marys Hospital, telling the nurses,"I think im in labor, thats what my NP just told me at my app." (you can read all about it on my post from a year ago) Sydnie was 3 weeks early and I checked in dialated to a 5. She was so nice and didn't cause me pain until I was at an 8. Forty min. of pain and I got a "heaven shot" then 30 min later she was here. I was only in the hospital a total of 5 hours before she graced us with her presence. I could not believe the great love I had for her the moment I saw her! I didn't sleep much that night, one because the baby next to me was waling the whole time, and two because I just wanted to hold her and make sure she was still there and alive every 10 min. I am so blessed to have this little girl in my life, she is amazing and I love watching her grow every day. Every new step is exciting, from her first smile to laugh to sitting up to crawling, and she is now taking steps. She is so innocent and pure, I can't help but to be happy around her. She makes me want to be a better mother and friend to her. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN A YEAR! The time goes by so fast! I feel like freezing it sometimes and keeping her right where she is. I LOVE HER soooo much! Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl!

Silverwood Lake

We went to Silverwood yesterday with the Dewey team. It was a little cloudy but I still got nice and burnt. I can't wait till Greg doesn't have to do Dewey and we can do more of these fun summer trips.

Well after not being on the mountain bike in over a year Greg decided he would go out with his brother Tom and some other guys from church monday morning. He was going just a tad too fast and hit a jump and caught the upside of another jump head on. His front wheel was bent in half, he broke 2 bones in his hand and has plenty of road rash. Needless to say he has been doped up the past few days because of the pain, but it is fading slowly. He is just hoping the cast will be off before he goes to Havasupai in July with the scouts.

This is his yucky elbow, they wouldn't stitch it because it was too mangled at the time.

So this is late but for my birthday we went rock climbing in this huge indoor climbing place down the hill. It was my first time doing this and it was way fun. A little tiring but way fun. I didn't even notice that we totally match until I saw the pictures haha how embarrassing.

4 years

Yesterday we celebrated our 4 year anniversary. I seriously cannot believe it has been 4 years! The time flies by so fast. I love this man with all my heart and I cannot imagine life without him. He is amazing! He is such a hard worker, I know our family will always be taken care of. He follows through with things always. He is fun to be with and he loves the outdoors and sports. The things that matter the most however are, he loves me, I know he does. He is a wonderful father, I can see the great happiness and love he feels when he is holding or playing with our daughter. When I hug him tight I still get that feeling of overwhelming love in my stomach. He kisses me goodbye every morning when I am half asleep. He is a faithful priesthood holder. I am so happy to be married to my best friend and my love. Im excited to spend eternity with him. I love you babe!

We went down to Benihana's for dinner, it was my first time going there and it was way good! They took a picture for us, good thing cause I didnt get my camera out the whole night.

Thats right in just 81/2 short months there will be a new addition to our family. This came to us as a little surprise, but we couldn't be more excited. This just shows that WE don't have a plan, HEAVENLY FATHER has a plan for us. Of course Greg wants his boy, and I do too but I really would be happy either way.

San Diego

Greg had to go down to San Diego for work so we all just went and made a weekend out of it. It was so nice and the weather was perfect! Greg is so wonderful and he booked me a massage for Valentines, it was amazing! I highly recommend getting one. We walked around Old Town San Diego and this lady was selling these hats, we thought they were so funny! You can tell Sydnie is loving them too haha.

So I just wanted to post a few pictures of my beautiful daughter because I love her so much and am obsessed with pictures. You don't realize how much your life will actually change when you have a child. She makes me smile when I don't want to, she makes my heart twist, her giggle is contagious, and she makes me feel sooo incredibly proud to be a mother. This little girl as brought so much joy into my life when I didn't think there could be much more. I cannot imagine my life without her anymore. I love you Sydnie!

Ok so I really want her to grow some hair so I can mess with it, for now this is all I can do, haha.

So we decided to get some pictures at the beach for christmas cards, not very christmas-ee but thats ok, now I can hang one up too. It was pretty foggy but I think it adds a nice effect:) I love the beach! Sydnie isn't much of a smiler unless I am behind the camera, oh well maybe next year.

Sydnie Jean has arrived!

Our beautiful daughter was born thursday July 3, 2008 7lbs. 11oz. 20in. and we couldn't be more excited! Ok so going through labor was NOTHING like I expected it to be. I was expecting the worst thing that could ever happen to me, and what I got was "that wasnt too bad." I was soooo blessed. See on Monday of last week I was feeling contractions every 5 min but didn't know if I should go to the hospital so I decided to wait it out to see if it got any worse. Well by the time Greg got home from work, about 3 hours later, they were further apart and when I went to bed that night they were gone. The same thing happened on Tuesday so I thought I was just being prepared for labor. Well I had my regular doctors appointment on thursday and I let her know what happened mon and tues so she checked me and was like, "Woah you are dialated to a 5, you need to get to the hospital right now." It was the weirdest thing becuase I was feeling nothing. Greg was in Lancaster so I called him and told him to come as soon as he could, then I called my mom to come because I felt so awkward walking into the labor and delivery room not feeling a thing and telling them I was in labor. We went inside and told the nurse and she laughed because I didn't look like I was in labor, she then checked me and was also surprised to see that I was now at a 6 and not feeling anything. I was just laying there and the monitor was reading that I was having contractions but I wasn't feeling them. They then moved me to a delivery room and Greg got there soon after. I just waited and started to feel some contractions but they weren't as bad as the ones I felt earlier in the week. It wasn't until the doctor came in, said I was at an 8 and broke my water for me that I started feeling the real pain. And let me tell you it was REALLY painful. But even that only lasted an hour before they gave me an epidural. And then and hour after that I had a baby in my arms. About 20 min of pushing and that was that. So I walked into the hospital at about 11:30am and had a baby by 4:30pm with only an hour of real pain! Every girl on the planet is going to hate me for this. I just still cannot believe how blessed I was. I was just sitting in the bed saying is this real? Am I really going through labor? So very strange! But anyway we are sooo excited to finally have our baby girl! I feel so much love for her its amazing.
We are now home and the recovery is worse than the labor, I am pretty sore. But I couldn't get away without some pain right. haha Anyway I guess I am one of those lucky ones. Hopfully it doesn't change much with the other ones we will be having.

A friend of mine took these photos for us. I met her at a wedding she photographed. She just took the photos and put the originals on a disk for me so I could edit them myself. Still not totally sure about the bare belly ones, its just weird seeing my belly like that I guess :)

Ode to Lacey :)

So we had to put our first and favorite dog down on friday. It was the saddest thing. We think she got hit by a car but we arent sure because as far as we could tell it was just her leg that was snapped in half. We were in Lancaster when we got a call from a guy that is working at our house and he told us she was hurt badly so we drove home. Greg was thinking he could just clean it and wrap it up but when we got there we saw that her bone was totally snapped in half and it was hanging there with a bigh open wound so we drove her to the animal hospital. They told us that it would cost thousands of dollars to repair the leg and just to amputate, the lowest would be 980.00 and the highest would be 1200.00 thats if they dont find anything else wrong. We almost did it but decided she was just a dog. It was just so sad because she was fine eccept for her leg. She was just laying there so peaceful and calm. So anyway it was sad at the time but we picked out a new dog so our other dog wont be so lonely while we are gone all the time.

Father of Forever

I am feeling so blessed. On April 26, 2008 my father completed his journey on earth and is now enjoying eternity with our heavenly father. When this happened all I felt was shock and saddness. But it didn't last long, it was amazing how our family immediatly pulled together. My brother flew in from Chico that night and everyone was at my parents home within an hour. I am so grateful for the family I have. My mother was so strong, she was worried about my younger brother and sister and wanted them to be ok above all. My wonderful husband immediatly reminded me that the lords hand was in this and he has a reason for everything. That first week was... different I guess you could say. We were so busy getting things together for the funeral and trying to help my mom figure everything out that there wasnt a lot of time to miss him. That first night we went to bed and I woke up at about 4:00am sat up in bed and just started bawling. It just all hit me and I couldnt stop. Greg was there of course just holding me and crying with me, it was all he could do. I am reminded each and everyday what a wonderful man my father was. There are so many lives he has touched and I am so grateful to have had him as a father. I had him for a good 22 years, some people never have a father. So many cannot say things about their fathers that I can. He loved the lord, he honored his priesthood, he loved people, and he loved his family. He loved his family more than anything. I was witness to this weekly. He made sure everytime he saw me to hug me and tell me he loved me and just how special I was. Im certain he did this with all of his children. I think the most memorable experiances I have of him are that of a fathers blessing. When I was younger he would pull each of us kids individually into his office and just ask us how we were and what was going on in our lives and at the end he would always ask if we would like a blessing. I always said yes. I could always feel the great love my heavenly father had for me through my father. His hands felt so comforting on my head. I felt so protected. This is the same feeling I felt every time he hugged me. Though he is gone from this earth, and somtimes I wish he could be here to see his grandchildren be born and for the weddings that havent happend yet in our family, I know he is with us. I know that I will see him again. I know that as long as I follow his example our family will be forever. I know that he heard those words from our heavenly father that we all look forward to hearing someday, "Well done thou good and faithful servant." He was done with his test, and I know he passed with flying colors. I love him so much and will always have the moments where I miss him and want him to be here, but I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have of forever families. That we will meet again, and that day will be a beautiful day! I cannot call him the father of the year or the century. He is the father of forever.

Camping

The weekend following our anniversary we went camping in Barstow. There were some pretty cool mines there and we had a great time just eating dinner by the fire and hiking around the next day. We took the dogs with us and they were afraid of the mines because it was so dark but eventually got used to it and had a great time too. I think im about 23 weeks pregnant here.

I squeezed my way through this hole and greg wanted to take a picture. :)

We shot a few clay pigeons. I am pretty bad at throwing those things, but Greg was so ok with that, I love him :)

Anniversary

My husband is the best! For some reason our riches were gone and so for our 3rd year anniversary my wonderful husband put together a creative night at home for me. I got home and on the door step was a note with a rose titled the perfect woman, he had me crying before I even walked into the house. He then had a very simple dinner made for me and was dressed in his suit. He looks so handsome by the way. He then had 6 different activities for us and for everyone that I won and he lost I would pick a rose which had a paper taped to the bottom of it saying different things he would do for me. Here are a few photos from the night. I love him so much!

So I got out of laudry and dishes for a whole month! It was great! I still have to ask him for that back massage, just waiting on the right moment. :)

Wild Animal Park

Greg liked the Meerkats the best

This was the big Kahuna, he was Huge!

Greg was chosen to be in the game show at one of the animal shows. He lost. :)

Im Pregnant!

Im going to start blogging back a little bit. I found out I was pregnant in november. So excited to extend our little family!
Of Course I had to be sure.

18 weeks, its a girl!
